Two years ago, Granichny Island was at the epicenter of a large-scale disaster. The New World conglomerate hid information about the tragedy and is now trying to correct the consequences.

As part of this campaign, numerous Volunteers - many of whom have never held a weapon - are sent to Granichny to investigate the paranormal impact of the disaster, collect information and carry out instructions from the leadership. They are not ready for what awaits them on the island.

The player will become a Volunteer to explore the world alone or in a team of four with monsters, anomalies and unpredictable weather conditions.

• Team up as a team of four or be a lone wolf to prove your courage - the choice is yours;
• Unlock new abilities to increase your chances of survival;
• Fight against monsters, other people and the very nature of the island;
• Get schemes and components for crafting, improve and upgrade your weapons and equipment;
• Military bases, abandoned buildings, secret objects and other unique locations are scattered throughout the island - explore the Border in search of secrets: find notes and diaries of former residents that will reveal the dark past of this place;
• Change the appearance of your Volunteer with new clothes and armor.

Survive and explore to get to the truth about the dark fate of Boundary Island in DESOLATE, alone or with friends.
